It Arrived!

Thursday, 18 October 2012

On Thursday morning, as we were eating breakfast, an orange package arrived. The first Project Life Album for 2012!
I was a bit worried it wouldn't arrive before the weekend, as we went away for the weekend and I didn't want to miss it. But, it arrived right in time! It's amazing to see all my Project Life layouts for the first half a year in print. I am so glad that I didn't wait until the end of 2012 to get them all printed together. Otherwise, I would miss out on being able to enjoy this now:
"Hey, there I am playing in Australia!"
"And there I am, giving Lucy milk!"
Another great reason for printing it now is that I've had the opportunity to see it as a whole, and evaluate what I like about it, and what I would change. This project is my first real attempt at digital scrapbooking, and I have really been testing out what style I like as I do this project. I've been able to see the font and text size I enjoy reading the most, which colours I used that I liked, and how I prefer my layouts to be. Hopefully that will help me to develop a more cohesive style for 2013. As for right now, I will keep bumbling my way through 2012!

The best part is having memories recorded, and being able to see my family and friends enjoy looking back on the last half a year. The compliments haven't hurt either, and I am ready to jump back into Project Life and tackle those last few weeks that I haven't done yet.

How's your Project Life going?

Hugs, Fiona

  4. I totally love this! And what a great idea to break the year up so you have something tangible sooner. I really love the look of the digital books but for me I really like to include papers I pick up through the week into my PL (really that was my purpose for starting PL in the first place) but your album is really making me consider going digital. What size did you end up doing?

    1. It's 12x12 inches, and I LOVE it! I find that digital is so much easier for me, so I just try and scan stuff and add it that way. How's your PL going?
