Last Thursday, we went to the funeral of Christian's grandmother. She lived to be 93 years old, raised 6 children, had 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She lived a full and satisfying life.
It was emotional, saying goodbye. It was an amazing experience to be there, and hear about her life. She was an exceptional woman, touched the lives of many people in her community over several generations, still went to visit the "oldies" every week, and took care of herself, in her own home, until a few days before she died.  She was an inspiration. She was also the only Dane I have ever met, who I simply couldn't understand.
We had some interesting conversations with the children about it, and I realised just how difficult it is to explain, when someone has died. Hopefully they understand, somehow!

I hope that I can live my life with the same grace, hard work and generousity that she had, and touch lives along the way!
