Project Life 2013 - Week 2

Tuesday, 15 January 2013

Week 2. Again, keeping it simple and trying to focus more on the stories of our week than simply recounting what happened.
Isabel cracks us up. She says the funniest things and likes to tease. This week I remembered to write down the things she says. Lucy was so cute, talking on Skype to Auntie Katie and Uncle Mark for Mark's birthday. She loves using the ipad to talk to people.
It was Alexander's weekend. He started swimming lessons, which he really enjoyed and couldn't stop talking about. In fact he is now counting down the days until Saturday, when he can go back. This time he wants to try "diving", doing a forwards roll into the pool. He also got new sneakers and has been wearing them non-stop (inside) since he got them. He occasionally lets Isabel borrow them ;) I also got new running shoes and clothes and have started exercising more already. Ah, the power of new clothes to motivate! I think I'll wait until the weather warms up before I start running outside, though!

At first I felt a little guilty about using a whole photo spot on my shoes and journalling. Which is ridiculous. But, I wondered of I should put a picture of something else there, as it's a family album. Then I thought to myself, I am also a part of this family! My story is also a valid part of our week! And I put it there. Anyone else have trouble including their own story from time to time, in their family album? Or is that just me?

I used the Seafoam digital kit and Becky Higgins template A, both available from ACdigitals. Linking up to the Mom Creative.

Hugs, Fiona

    1. Thanks Sheena. I use Avenir size 12 for the majority of the journalling, and Mari & David for the title card and captions.

    1. Thank you. I love seeing my new shoes in there. And I love my story. It's just sometimes easy to forget ourselves in the story!

  6. Good for you Fiona for including your perspective. I think its great for the kids to see that you are putting your health and fitness as a priority, and it's important to document that! Think of how proud you will be when you get old and look back and say...dang...you go girl! Love, your pages!!! How have I not been to your blog before?!?
